Oyado Koto No Yume ligger 2 minuters promenad från Takayamas station och erbjuder färgglada rum i japansk stil. Great hotel. Personal was so so kind and nice. Awsome baths for relaxing. Food was amazing 👏

Iroriyado Hidaya ligger i Takayama, 18 minuters promenad från Takayama station, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. Vi stannade i två nätter, det var verkligen jätte mysigt och trevlig personal. Det blev ett missförstånd när det gällde frukosten, men det reddes ut snabbt med hjälp av översättnings hjälp. Vi blev bjuda på 3 härliga kalla japanska öl!

Toraya ligger i Gero, 48 km från Takayama station, och erbjuder utsikt över bergen. Denna ryokan med 3 stjärnor har luftkonditionerade rum med gratis WiFi och eget badrum. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. Room is clean,spacious with a warm vibe. The private hot spring is perfect.

Nagataki ligger i Nakatsugawa, inom 12 km från Amritsar busstation och 13 km från Ōi, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård och gratis WiFi samt gratis privat parkering för gäster som anländer med bil. Incredible place to stay. I spent two nights here, enjoying the local scenery and had the pleasure of eating some great food (which was an amazing set of back-to-back courses). I'd highly recommend it for people wanting to hike from Magome to Tsumago as the hosts were kind enough to drop us off at our start point via their bus.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Shiroyamakan offers accommodation in Shirakawa, 1.4 km from Shirakawago. Free private parking is available on site. The entire property is non-smoking. Otroligt mysigt! Minimalistiskt och smakfullt inrett. Väldigt rent! Vänlig personal. Väldigt fint onsen med utsikt som man kunde boka och ha för sig själv. Allt var bra!

Mozumo ligger i ett lugnt område i regionen Gifu, en 52-minuters bilresa från JR Takayama Station. Här erbjuds bad med varmt källvatten och rum med modern japansk inredning. A stay with private jacuzzi in the calm peaceful forest with excellent service and food? This is complete paradise. Also the hotel itself doesnt take many guests so hardly get to bump into any other guests- feels like I own the whole place for myself almost.

Juhachiro grundades 1860 och ligger vid floden Nagara. Här finns naturliga varma källor både inomhus och utomhus. Hotellet ligger 15 minuters bussresa från Gifus tågstation. Nice experience in a high-end traditional Japanese hotel. We were the only western tourists. Very nice onsen with amazing "muddy bath". Delicious meals, very good buffet breakfast.

Awarded by TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice in 2015, Wanosato offers luxurious Japanese-style ryokan stay in a 160-year-old quaint Gassho-zukuri thatched-roof house, nestled in the tranquil woods. Everything! My husband and I can’t thank the team of Wanosato enough. It was such an amazing experience and they were so kind, gentle and thoughtful. One of the highlights - if not THE highlight - of our trip.

Yatsusankan erbjuder boende i traditionell japansk stil med rymliga offentliga bad. Här bor du 6 minuters promenad från tågstationen JR Hidokoukawa. I came here for my birthday. Unfortunately we didn't get there until late around 8pm, due to trains and train problems: they leave Nagoya every 2 hours and ours was delayed (so give yourself time to get there at a reasonable time) {I phoned them to let them know we would be late},you will also need to take a local train from Takayama. It was raining and we were cold and tired. Since we were late I wasn't sure if we would get supper even though I had paid for it. But thankfully we did and the food was excellent! Very fancy! We ate in a private dinning room looking out on to a garden. Our room was excellent! It was quite big for Japan. There was tatami mats, interesting monkey scroll in the alcove, interesting classy furnishings even the bathroom sink was beautiful. The hot springs/ baths were very good , I enjoyed the outdoor ones which had beautiful gardens. I loved wandering the halls of this ryokan lots of traditional architecture and art work (a beautiful folding screen). You really can feel the history of this hotel.

Located just a 1-minute walk from popular Miyagawa Morning Market in the heart of Takayama, Sumiyoshi Ryokan offers homely Japanese-style accommodation in the historic townhouse building. We loved our stay here. I cannot recommend this Ryokan enough - if you get the chance I promise you the price is so so worth it. The staff are so friendly, the food is AMAZING, the beds are comfortable, the onsen itself is so lovely and relaxing. This is just a wonderful cozy place to stay in Japan.
